Chicago forward first to win honor three times in a season since Oilers Connor McDavid in 2015-16.

Chicago Blackhawks center Connor Bedard, who led all rookies with four goals and 17 points in 14 games, has been named the NHL’s "Rookie of the Month” for March.

The 18-year-old Bedard leads all first-year players this season with 21 goals and 57 points in 60 games. The NHL's No. 1 draft pick of 2023 also paces rookies in shots on goal at 190, and has attempted 179 more that have been blocked or missed the net.
In March, Bedard posted the most assists or points by a rookie in a calendar month since Florida Panthers center Anton Lundell in January 2022.
Bedard was named Rookie of the Month in November and December. He's the first player to win the award at least three times in one season since Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid in 2015-16.
Bedard edged New Jersey Devils defenseman Luke Hughes, (one goal, 12 points), Arizona Coyotes center Logan Cooley (eight goals, 11 points), Colorado Avalanche goaltender Justus Annunen (4‑1-0, 1.51 GAA, .952 SV%, 1 SO) and Montreal Canadiens goaltender Cayden Primeau (3-1-1, 1.97 GAA, .939 SV%, 1 SO) for the March honor.
