Team plans to terminate 38-year-old forward's employment. Chicago signed him to one-year contract last summer.

The Chicago Blackhawks placed Corey Perry on unconditional waivers Tuesday and plan to terminate the 38-year-old forward's employment once he clears them.
In a statement, the team said an internal investigation had determined that Perry had engaged in "conduct that is unacceptable and in violation of both the Standard Player's Contract and the Blackhawks' internal policies intended to promote professional and safe work environments."
The Blackhawks host the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday night. They issued the statement following their morning skate and after coaches and players had left the United Center.
General manager Kyle Davidson is expected to address media on the matter later on Tuesday.
Perry was a scratch last Wednesday at Columbus before Chicago's 7-3 loss to the Blue Jackets. Davidson said on Saturday that Perry would be away from the team for the "foreseeable future" and that it was a "team decision."
Over the weekend Perry's agent, Pat Morris, said in a statement that his client had stepped away to attend to personal matters.
Chicago signed Perry to a one-year, $4 million contract last June after acquiring his rights from Tampa Bay. He was brought in to provide leadership on a rebuilding team loaded with prospects.
Perry seemingly had been fitting in well with the Blackhawks and the lanky London, Ontario resident was delivering points as well. Through 16 games of his 19th NHL season, Perry has four goals and five assists.
