The Chicago Blackhawks will again be without rookie defenseman Kevin Korchinski and forward Ryan Donato when they host the Washington Capitals on Sunday.

Chicago is trying to win a third straight game for the first time this season.

Korchinski left the team on Friday to deal with a family matter. The 19-year-old is from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, but coach Luke Richardson didn't know if the smooth-skating D-Man would rejoin the Blackhawks in Edmonton on Tuesday when they face the Oilers.

Donato is getting over an illness and should be ready on Tuesday.

Arvid Söderblom was set to start in goal Sunday after Petr Mrazek stopped 75 of 76 shots in Chicago's previous games, 1-0 and 3-1 wins. See video.
