The Blackhawks have a free-agent target to consider in this Kraken forward.

One of the Chicago Blackhawks' biggest goals heading into the off-season should be to improve their forward group. They need more proven forwards in their top nine, and the free-agent market could offer some solid options for them to consider.

One pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) who the Blackhawks should consider pursuing if he hits the market is Seattle Kraken forward Bobby McMann.

McMann just had an excellent season split between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Seattle Kraken. In 78 games, he set new career highs with 29 goals, 17 assists, 46 points, and 165 hits. This included him having 10 goals and 14 points in 18 games after being traded to Seattle.

With the Blackhawks needing more scoring in their top nine, a player like McMann could be worth taking a flier on. This is especially so when noting that he is a speedy forward who not only chips in offensively, but also plays a heavy game and works on both special-team units. With this, he would be a good, versatile player for the Blackhawks to bring in.

If the Blackhawks signed McMann, he would give them another solid option to work with in their top six. However, he has also shown during his career that he can make an impact in a third-line role, so the Blackhawks would have multiple options to consider if they brought him in.
