This Blackhawks prospect should be watched extra closely during the final stretch of the season.

The end of the season is almost here for the Chicago Blackhawks, as they have only four more games remaining. With the Blackhawks being eliminated from playoff contention, they will simply be looking for their younger players to end the season on a high note.

One Blackhawks player who fans should be keeping an eye on during this final stretch of the season is forward Nick Lardis. The skilled forward has shown promise this campaign with Chicago and will be looking to shine to finish off the season.

Lardis has been solid this season with the Blackhawks, as he has nine goals, five assists, and 14 points in 37 games. However, he has notably been heating up as of late, posting four goals and six points in his last nine games. This is undoubtedly encouraging, and it will be interesting to see if he can build on it from here.

Lardis is one of the Blackhawks' most promising forward prospects. He has a ton of skill, and he has shown that at both the AHL and OHL levels. In 35 games this season with the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL, he has 18 goals and 32 points. This is after he had a ridiculous 71 goals and 117 points in 65 games last season with the Brantford Bulldogs of the OHL.

With this, there is a ton to like about Lardis' game, and there is no question that fans should be keeping an eye on the 20-year-old forward down the stretch because of it.
