This Blackhawks prospect will be a breakout candidate to watch in 2026-27.
Chicago Blackhawks prospect Nick Lardis showed promise during his first professional season in 2025-26. In 41 games for Chicago in 2025-26, he recorded 10 goals, five assists, and 15 points. He also had 18 goals, 14 assists, 32 points, and a plus-3 rating in 35 AHL games with the Rockford IceHogs.
With numbers like these, Lardis demonstrated solid offensive potential. This is especially so when noting that he is just 20 years old. Yet, now that Lardis will be entering his second season with Chicago in 2026-27, it would not be surprising in the slightest if he has himself a big breakout year.
Now that Lardis is entering next season with some experience, there is certainly a good chance that he will hit a new level for Chicago next season. If he does, it would be big for a Blackhawks club that is looking to take that next step in 2026-27.
Lardis showed his high potential during his final season in the OHL with the Brantford Bulldogs, too. In 65 games with the OHL club in 2024-25, he had 71 goals, 46 assists, and 117 points. With this, Lardis has a ton of offensive skill, and it will be fascinating to see what kind of season he has for the Blackhawks in 2026-27 because of it.
