The Chicago Blackhawks dropped their 18th straight road game, 6-2 at Seattle on Wednesday, extending their team-record away losing streak.
Injury-depleted Chicago is 0-17-1 on the road since a 5-3 win at Tampa Bay on Nov. 9, 2023. NHL leading rookie scorer Connor Bedard, sidelined with a broken jaw sustained on Jan. 5, had two goals and two assists in that game against the Lightning.

The Blackhawks had their chances Wednesday against Seattle goalie Joey Daccord, but once again failed to finish with Bedard and four other forwards – Taylor Hall, Andreas Athanasiou, Tyler Johnson and Anthony Beauvillier — on injured reserve.
Joey Anderson and Nick Foligno scored on deflections for Chicago.
Chicago outshot Seattle 36-29, but Daccord was terrific when needed. By contrast, Blackhawks backup Arvid Söderblom failed to come up with timely saves.
The Kraken's Tomas Tatar scored twice in the third period to put the game away.
Chicago's No. 1 goalie, Petr Mrazek, got a two-year contract extension earlier on Wednesday. He's set to play Thursday night in Edmonton.
Anderson redirected in Seth Jones' wrister from the right point with 2:40 left in the first period to cut Seattle's lead to 2-1 and give Chicago some life. The Kraken had jumped ahead 2-0 early on goals by Jared McCann and Jaden Schwartz 2:38 apart.

The Kraken moved ahead 4-1 in the second on goals by Alex Wennberg and Brandon Tanev. Wennberg was credited with his score when Jones' pass from the corner deflected in off the skate Alex Vlasic, his defense partner.
Foligno scored his first goal since returning from a broken left finger, during a power play 39 seconds into the third to cut it to 4-2. It also was the first for Foligno, the Hawks de facto captain, since the 36-year-old forward signed a fresh two-year contact.
But Tatar snuffed Chicago's momentum by beating Söderblom at 4:28 of the period to give Seattle a 5-2 lead. Tatar scored moments after Daccord stopped Ryan Donato on a breakaway.
Tatar iced it with his second goal, with 3:28 left.
