Chicago Blackhawks legend Jeremy Roenick was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame this year.
After being drafted eighth overall in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft, he proceeded to play eight seasons for the Blackhawks, scoring 267 goals and 596 points in 524 games. He would go on to amass 513 career goals and 1216 career points in 1363 regular season games to go along with 53 goals and 122 points in 154 playoff games.
Roenick had a Hall of Fame worthy career and the Blackhawks intend on recognizing his induction on December 19 when Chicago hosts the Seattle Kraken.

The video tribute for Roenick will be played during a TV timeout in the first period and the legend will participate in the new 'sound the horn' moment to kick off the contest.
The Blackhawks made the playoffs in all eight seasons Roenick was with the team. He also appeared in four consecutive All-Star games in the early 1990s. Roenick ranks ninth in franchise history in goals and 11th in points, but among American-born players, he ranks fourth in goals, seventh in assists, and fifth in points.
Roenick is not only a Blackhawks legend, he's also one of the best American-born players to ever play in the NHL. Don't miss the chance to see this live or by tuning into the game next week.
