A look at all the players attending training camp for the Blackhawks in 2024 and some expectations.

The Chicago Blackhawks have announced their training camp roster for 2024 and it includes 53 players. There will be 32 forwards, 15 defensemen, and 6 goalies attending. The full list is as follows:
There are five players who are currently injured that should be noted. At forward there are Marcel Marcel, Alex Pharand, and Marek Vanacker. On defense, Artyom Levshunov is out of action. In net, Laurent Brossoit is injured.
While not 100% counting out anyone, there are a number of players expected to be cut this season. This doesn't mean they don't have a chance to play for the Blackhawks this season or in the future, but will start elsewhere to begin the 2024-25 season.
These players include (F) Baddock, Hayes, Lardis, Ludwinski, Luypen, Marcel, Misiak, Pharand, Rolston, Savoie, Spellacy, Vanacker, (D) Henry, King, Strand, (G) Gaudreau, and Weeks.
You might be wondering about some names I didn't include above. These following players, while leaning towards starting the season in the AHL, all have a chance to surprise and make the team. This could be in a starting role or even as an extra for the opening game of the season.
Potential surprises include (F) Dach, Guttman, Nazar, Sanford, Seney, Slaggert, (D) Allan, Crevier, Del Mastro, Kaiser, Levshunov, Phillips, (G) Soderblom, and Commesso. It's worth noting that since Brossoit is injured, Soderblom is the favourite to start the season as the Blackhawks backup. He served in that role last season.
I'm confident the rest of the players listed on the training camp roster have less worries about making the team, but are still battling for positioning within the lineup. We will keep you up to date with anything Blackhawks throughout training camp and the season here at the Chicago Blackhawks site for The Hockey News.
