The Chicago Blackhawks have signed one of their goalie prospects.

The Chicago Blackhawks have made a roster move, as they have signed goaltender Adam Gajan to a two-year entry-level contract, which will kick in during the 2026-27 season. The Blackhawks also shared that Gajan will have a $1.05 million cap hit.

Gajan was selected by the Blackhawks with the 35th overall pick of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. He spent each of the last two seasons with the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Gajan is coming off a solid sophomore season with the University of Minnesota Duluth, as he had a 19-13-1 record, a .908 save percentage, and a 2.25 goals-against average in 33 games. This is after he had a 7-12-1 record, a .885 save percentage, and a 3.33 goals-against average in 21 games with the school as a freshman.

Gajan will certainly be a prospect to keep a close eye on next season. The 21-year-old has the potential to become a solid goalie, and it will be interesting to see how he continues to develop his game from here.
