Minutes after Connor Bedard had pulled on a Blackhawks jersey in Nashville, the team was selling them at its draft watch party.

Connor Bedard delighted Blackhawks fans — and ended any mystery — when he donned a red Chicago jersey with his signature No. 98 after being selected No. 1 in the 2023 NHL Draft.

The Blackhawks then promptly ended any question about where fans could buy their version of Bedard's sweater.

Bedard wears his No. 98 in Nashville on the 2023 NHL Draft state.

A stand at the team's draft watch party was cranking out jerseys with No. 98 and Bedard's name on the back minutes after Bedard became just the second No. 1 pick in the Original Six franchise's history. Patrick Kane, in 2007 was the first, and helped lead Chicago to three Stanley Cups in a six-year span.

The watch party was attended by an estimated 5,000 fans. Based on the brisk jersey sales, many of them hope Bedard will be able to do what Kane did for their team.
