Hall, out with shoulder injury, participated in full practice on Friday. Rookie D-man Vlasic, in concussion protocol, was back on the ice. Updated with videos.

Veteran forward Taylor Hall probably will play in least one game this weekend as the Chicago Blackhawks host Florida on Saturday and New Jersey on Sunday in a rare back-to-back night set at the United Center.

There's a chance impressive rookie defenseman Alex Vlasic, who suffered a concussion last week, could play on Sunday.

    Hall's Shoulder Mending

Hall, who turns 32 on Nov. 14, was a full participant in practice on Friday. He's been nagged by a shoulder injury since the second game of the season.

"I just have to to talk to the medical staff and see what we're going to do," Hall said. "There's a good chance I'm in tomorrow, but I could also not play.

"I certainly don't want to have this happen again," he added. "I just want to make sure everything is good. It's not easy coming back from an injury on a back-to-back, too." See the following video.

Hall originally suffered the injury on a punishing hit from Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo at Boston on Oct. 11. He sat out the next game, three nights later in Montréal, then returned on Oct. 16 in a victory at Toronto.

As it turned out, Hall made the comeback too soon and the injury flared up again in a home-opening loss to Vegas on Oct. 21.

"I just thought at the moment the shoulder would get better day to day," Hall said. "It didn't. It just probably needed some time."

    Vlasic Improving

Alex Vlasic (left, No. 72) celebrates with MacKenzie Entwistle after a Entwistle score in Toronto.

Vlasic went into concussion protocol after taking a hard-driving shoulder-on-shoulder hit from Brett Howden at the end of a shift in a 4-3 OT win at Vegas last Friday. The impact was clean, but shook Vlasic's head and he crumpled to the ice.

Coach Luke Richardson said Vlasic looked wobbly. The 6-foot-6 22-year-old entered concussion protocol and has been progressing.

Vlasic skated early in Friday's practice session, but didn't take part in the main drills.

"He's probably going to have to take one more step tomorrow and be a possibility on Sunday," Richardson said.

Next to Connor Bedard, Vlasic has been the Blackhawks most-impressive rookie this season, both with and without the puck. The native of Chicago's North Shore has three assists and leads with a plus-4 on a 3-6-0 team that's scored 19 goals while allowing 32.
