Hall, the former Hart Trophy winner who was acquired to work with Bedard, missed just one game after taking nasty hit in Boston. See story with videos and projected lineup for Monday night's game in Toronto.

Taylor Hall suffered an upper-body injury, but "just" one to the shoulder.
Not the melon.
So Hall, the 2017-18 Hart Trophy winner, is sore, but not scrambled. The 31-year-old forward missed only one game — instead of weeks as originally feared — and will be back on the left wing of Connor Bedard's line when the Blackhawks meet the Maple Leafs in Toronto on Monday night.
Hall said he passed a concussion test "with ease" after absorbing a punishing hit from Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo in Boston last Wednesday. He admitted he's not "110%", but should be able to contribute alongside Bedard and right winger Ryan Donato as the Blackhawks play their fourth game in a season-opening five-city trip.
See Hall's explanation of the hit and injury in the following video clip. The NHL's No. 1 draft pick of 2010 is eager to get back to work with Bedard, the touted top pick of 2023. Chicago acquired Hall and fellow veteran forward Nick Foligno from Boston on June 26, two days before selecting Bedard at the NHL Draft in Nashville.
Coach Luke Richardson is glad to have the skillful and physical Hall back. The Blackhawks are 0-for-14 so far on the power play and could use a boost and savvy veteran presence on the man advantage. See the following video.
Lost in all this: Hall is a new dad. His first son was born in Chicago barely over a week ago and just before the Blackhawks hit the road.
Hall watched from upstairs in Montréal on Saturday as Chicago failed on seven power-play chances in a 3-2 loss to the Canadiens. See the video below.
Here are Monday's projected lines and defense pairings as the Blackhawks, 1-2, try to slow down the Leafs and torrid sniper Auston Matthews. The Toronto forward has hat tricks in his first two games this season.
