As the Chicago Blackhawks continue to lose, the team will come up more and more in trade conversations. The trade deadline is a while away, but many teams will look to get a head start on upgrading as some have already begun.

At the top of the list of players that could be traded from the Blackhawks this season is Taylor Hall.

The veteran is in the final year of his contract at $6 million AAV and has a 10-team no trade clause which isn't too much of a burden as not many contenders are likely on the list. Considering how he's struggled this season after missing all but 10 games in his first season with the Blackhawks, it is a good idea to move on from the 33 year old and make room for different and younger talent.

Hall hasn't seemed to stick anywhere in the lineup and was even caught off guard when he was a healthy scratch recently for a game. He returned to the lineup the following game and Luke Richardson did say that he played better. Results haven't shown that he is capable or helping the Blackhawks get to a better place though.

Hall has two goals, six points, and is a -6 through 20 games this season and is slotted in on the top line with Connor Bedard and Philipp Kurashev at the moment. This is the line that was supposed to play together all of last season and did before Hall's injury.

Chicago is not getting what they need from Hall as he has only recorded four goals and 10 points in 30 games in a Blackhawks uniform. In 158 games for the Bruins before being traded to Chicago, Hall scored 44 goals and recorded 111 points.

The Blackhawks are likely going to have to retain some of Hall's salary as it would get them a better return, would open up more potential suitors, and the team has the space to do so.

The Blackhawks are very likely going to be sellers and have more than just Hall to trade away this season. There are prospects pushing for roles and five players on the active roster who are UFAs after the season. Chicago is going to be busy, but expect Hall to get a good amount of attention and very likely be traded this season.
