With the 3-1 victory over the St.Louis Blues, the Colorado Avalanche have secured first in the Central Division, which means it now locks the Minnesota Wild and Dallas Stars to face off in the first round of the 2026 Stanley Cup Finals.

Now, both teams have clinched a playoff spot already, but home ice is still up for grabs. Both teams won tonight, but the Stars are up two points on the Wild, and both have the same number of games remaining, four each.

Though arguably the biggest game of all comes down on Thursday, March 9, when the Wild are at home against the Stars, which could either solidify the Stars securing home ice or keep the Wild in the race, and have the rest of the season play out.
