2026-27 NHL Season To Debut Hometown Remix Jersey's
The NHL, alongside Fanatics, the league's official jersey manufacturer, has announced that this season each team will receive a "Hometown Remix jersey", along with an apparel and headwear program designed by Fanatics. The collection will "be anchored by special edition uniforms that uniquely and authentically celebrate the fans, city, and local culture of each team" More information about the jersey and the apparel collection will be revealed after the season starts.

Da Beauty League was created by John Scott, a former NHLer grinder who played over 280 games in the NHL. On This Day In Avalanche History: Avalanche Acquire Darcy Kuemper From The Arizona Coyotes
Needing a change in goaltending after numerous early post seasons failures, the Colorado Avalanche decided buy high on starting goaltender Darcy Kuemper from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Conor Timmins, a 2022 first-round pick and a 2024 third-round pick. Kuemper the previous season finished with a 10-11 record with a .907 save percentage and a 2.22 goals against average. In his first and only season with the Avalanche, he finished with a career high 37 wins and 12 losses with a .907 SV% and a 2.56 GAA. On his way to winning the Stanley Cup, he finished with a 10-4 record with a .902 SV% and a 2.57 GAA. The summer after he would not re-sign with the Avalanche and sign with the Washington Capitals to a five-year, $26.25 million dollar contract.

On This Day In Avalanche History: Landeskog Signs An Eight-Year $56 Million Contract Extension
With a deal worth $56 million, which comes with an annual cap hit of $7 million per season, this was a major time for the Avalanche fans, as just a couple of days before this, Cale Makar signed his six-year, $54 million contract extension carrying a $9 million average annual value. “We are thrilled to have our captain signed to a long-term deal. Gabe is the heart and soul of this team and an integral part of our organization both on the ice and in the community,” Avs general manager Joe Sakic said in a statement. “He’s the consummate leader, a great teammate, and alongside (Nathan) MacKinnon and (Mikko) Rantanen, is part of what has been one of the NHL’s best lines over the past four seasons. We are excited to have Landy in an Avalanche sweater for many years to come.”
