While the Colorado Avalanche weren't the biggest spenders on Day 1 of 2026 NHL Free Agency, yesterday marked the 10-year anniversary of some signings in free agency.
In 2016, the Avalanche signed:
Joe Colborne, Reid Petryk, and Trent Vogelhuber to two-year contracts. Fedor Tyutin, Ryan Stanton, Patrick Wiercioch, Jeremy Smith, Turner Elson, Jim O'Brien, Mike Sislo, and Joe Whitney to one-year contracts.
