The NCAA Denver Pioneers have announced that they have signed defenseman Ryan Lin from the WHL Vancouver Giants. Lin is coming off an impressive season with the Giants, in which he scored 14 goals and finished with 43 points in 53 games, earning him an All-Star selection.
In the process, he became the fastest defenseman in the league to score 100 career points since 1991.
The 5-foot-11 puck-moving defenseman is a highly touted prospect whom many NHL scouts have projected to be drafted early in the first round, some as high as seven, while many have him drafted in the mid-10s (between 12-17).
