Denver is on the way to the championship after defeating the number-one-ranked team, Michigan, in the semi-finals after a nail-biting double ot game.

Michigan scored a goal early in the third period to make it 2-1, which they held onto late into the third period, but Clarke Caswell scored with 2:46 remaining to force overtime.

It was a tight period of hockey that showed both teams' willingness to try and generate offense, but also their decisiveness not to push too hard, which could cause them to make an error and let the opponent capitalize on it.

With less than eight minutes remaining in double overtime, it's captain Kent Anderson who seals the deal and buries the dagger, sending Denver to the finals.

They do not look to face Wisconsin, which, in their own semi-final game, pulled off an upset, beating second-ranked North Dakota 2-1. They face off on Saturday, April 11, as Denver looks to win its third championship in five seasons and Wisconsin to win its first since 2016.
