Earlier today, the Chicago Blackhawks were set to lose 2024 third-round pick Jack Pridham if he didn't sign his ELC or join an NCAA team. Cause if he didn't, he would be sent back into the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.
The Hawks decided to send him to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for a third-round pick. The Lightning hope they can convince him to sign his ELC or join an NCAA team to keep him in their system, along with fellow Lightning prospect and teammate on the Kitchener Rangers, Sam O'Reilly.
With the time ticking on Pridhams' future, it looks like a decision has been made, and that's joining the University of Denver in the NCAA, per Cam Robinson of Elite Prospects.
Denver has been a landing spot for many prospects over the past couple of seasons, and coming off their third championship in five seasons, it continues to be a staple of the NCAA scene, especially with head coach David Carle at the helm.
If the reporting is true, he is set to join prospects like Blake Fiddler (Kraken), Ryan Miller (Penguins), Max Heise (Sharks), and potentially many more this summer in hopes of achieving another NCAA championship.
