Before the start of tonight's NHL playoff games, the NHL announced the salary cap for the 2026-27 season.

This past season, the floor was $70.9 million and the ceiling was $95.5 million. This number is expected to rise even more the following 2027-28 season which expects to reach up to $113.5 million.
