In Tuesday night's Game 5 between the Dallas Stars and Minnesota Wild, Jamie Benn cross-checked Ryan Hartman after Hartman appeared to high-stick Benn and, in retaliation, went heavy across the numbers, which the NHL Player Safety Department fined him for.

Benn was fined and suspended in the playoffs not too long ago, back in 2024, during their series against the Vegas Golden Knights. Which saw Benn cross-check Mark Stone in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.
