On July 6, 1994, the Quebec Nordiques, coming off a 34-42-8 season in 1993-94, decided to shake things up by firing Pierre Page, who had spent the past two seasons with the team, and bringing in Marc Crawford for the next season.

During that season, which would be the last time we saw the Nordiques in the NHL. The Crawford-led Nordiques finished with a 30-13-5 record in a shortened season, earning a playoff berth but ultimately losing in six games to the New York Rangers in the first round.
