From affordable beer to convenient parking, Ball Arena, home of the Colorado Avalanche, is the best in the league.

Of course, Avalanche fans think their home is the best, but a new study proves them right. Ball Arena ranks No. 1 of all 32 teams’ home ice. How, might you ask? Here’s the breakdown.

Price per ounce of beer, proximity to public transportation and outside restaurants, and parking were all things taken into consideration by CanadaSportsBetting when determining the score for each NHL arena. Ball Arena scored a whopping 35.57 out of 40.

Beer is affordable in the Avs' house. It’s not the cheapest of all NHL arenas but it’s under a buck per ounce.

It’s close to downtown and Union Station, which is a short walk, where fans from the burbs and around the Mile High City can easily take public transportation in and out. And there’s a light rail station less than a five-minute walk to/from the arena.

For those who want to or need to drive, there is a plethora of parking on site, so no sketchy 10-20 minute walks from outside parking areas to the rink. If those are too pricey or full, there’s additional parking across the street where multiple college campuses reside.

And there’s Brooklyn’s, right across the street. Yes, the pregame/postgame hot spot is an important factor for the overall score used to determine who has the best house in the NHL.

Avalanche tickets aren’t the highest priced in the NHL, but the average price certainly increased after they won the Cup. At least the hike is worth it at the best arena in the league.

If you’re wondering where the 31 other arenas ranked, here’s the list.

Avs Faithful can be proud to call Ball Arena home for more than just housing their team. It's the best for them too.
