Jack Johnson has signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets, officially ending his time with the Colorado Avalanche.
Johnson, 37, is certainly a familiar face to the Blue Jackets, as he played seven seasons for them from 2011-12 to 2017-18. Now, after six seasons away from Columbus, he is once again a Blue Jacket.
Jack Johnson Johnson played in 80 games this past season with the Avalanche, posting three goals, 16 points, and a plus-15 rating. Overall, he was a pretty solid bottom-pairing defender and veteran presence for the Avalanche this past season. He will look to be the same for the Blue Jackets.
