Colorado will start the Stanley Cup Playoffs on the road in Winnipeg.

The schedule for the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs between the Colorado Avalanche and Winnipeg Jets has been released.
The teams will face off on Sunday night at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg to start the best-of-seven series. Game 2 is scheduled for Tuesday and the first game at Ball Arena will be Friday night.
The Avalanche are the statistical underdogs in this matchup as the Jets finished the regular season with three more points in the Central Division at the No. 2 spot. Winnipeg also owned Colorado in the regular season series with three regulation wins.
"I like where we're at. I think we had a good — this week's work and sort of breaking down some of our issues here recently," head coach Jared Bednar said after the 5-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers. "Some of the steps we've taken in the Minnesota (Wild) game, early in the Dallas (Stars) game, early in tonight's game. Certainly we're going to have to extend that for full 60 minutes like we did against Minny (Minnesota), but a lot of hard work and video work and practice the last couple of days I think does us good. I think guys are like mentally in a good spot."
The Avalanche are expected to start Alexandar Georgiev in net but there is the possibility Justus Annunen may play depending on the starter's performance.
