The Colorado Eagles have added former Dallas Stars sixth-round pick Francesco Arcuri, who brings a proven scoring touch and a fresh opportunity to make his mark at the AHL level.
The Colorado Eagles are adding another intriguing piece to their forward group, signing former Dallas Stars draft pick Francesco Arcuri to an AHL two-way contract for the 2026-27 season.
Arcuri arrives in Colorado after a productive season with the Idaho Steelheads, where the 24-year-old center finished the 2025-26 campaign with 22 goals and 21 assists in 60 ECHL games. His production came with a knack for delivering in important situations, as he tied for the Steelheads’ team lead with seven power-play goals and finished second with seven game-winning goals.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound forward has spent the majority of his professional career in the ECHL. Across 154 career games at that level, Arcuri has recorded 119 points, including 57 goals and 62 assists. He has also received a brief opportunity at the AHL level, appearing in five games with the Texas Stars.
Colorado is hoping that his latest season represents another step toward becoming a more consistent AHL contributor.
Arcuri was originally selected by Dallas in the sixth round, 177th overall, of the 2021 NHL Draft. Before turning pro, he developed into a productive offensive player in the Ontario Hockey League, splitting four seasons between the Kingston Frontenacs and Kitchener Rangers.
In 197 OHL games, Arcuri produced 185 points on 89 goals and 96 assists. His best offensive season came in 2021-22, when he erupted for 34 goals and 40 assists.
Now, Arcuri gets a fresh opportunity within the Avalanche organization as he looks to turn that offensive production into a larger role at the AHL level.
The Eagles will open their 2026-27 schedule on the road against the Tucson Roadrunners on Oct. 3 before returning to Colorado for their home opener against the Abbotsford Canucks on Oct. 9 at Blue Arena.
For Arcuri, the move represents another chance to climb the professional hockey ladder—and potentially establish himself as a legitimate option for the Eagles beyond the ECHL level.
