Loveland, Colo. - The Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Eagles (AHL) announced this morning that Gabriel Landeskog will dress for the Colorado Eagles in their match tonight against the Henderson Silver Knights. This will be his Eagles debut.

Tonight's appearance will be his first professional game since the Avalanche won the Stanley Cup in 2022. His last game was on June 26th, 2022.

There is still no plan for Landeskog past tonight's game, per a very excited Head Coach Jared Bednar, who spoke to the media following this morning's announcement.

"I wish I could be there, to be honest with you. Yeah, I'm excited for him and his family, obviously, it's been a long, hard road and to finally get back on the ice and [in a] game situation, I'm just thrilled for him.

On Wednesday, the Avalanche announced that Landeskog would be heading up to Loveland to join the Eagles on a conditioning loan. The Stockholm, Sweden native is still listed on LTIR, meaning his salary does not affect the Avalanche's current salary cap. With that said, Landeskog is eligible to play in up to three games for the Eagles before he needs to be reactivated from LTIR, with a chance of appealing for five games should that become an option.

The Colorado Eagles have two home games this weekend, a back-to-back series against the Henderson Silver Knights (Vegas Golden Knights AHL affiliate) starting tonight, Friday, April 11th. It has not been announced whether or not Landeskog will play in their second game.

These two games this weekend are the last home games of the season for the Eagles. They go back on the road to play the Ontario Reign (Los Angeles Kings AHL affiliate) on Wednesday, April 16th, before finishing the regular season in Arizona to play a series against the Tuscon Roadrunners (Utah Hockey Club AHL affiliate) on Friday, April 18th, and Saturday, April 19th.

FloHockey will be streaming tonight's Eagles game for free on their social media pages, including YouTube.
