Colorado Avalanche Head Coach Jared Bednar told the media that Valeri Nichushkin, who hasn't played since December 31st, is a potential option for Wednesday's game against the New Jersey Devils. Nichushkin was seen in a second-line sweater (maroon) at Tuesday's practice, the team's first practice since losing back-to-back games on Saturday (Nashville Predators) and Sunday (St. Louis Blues).

"He is a possibility for tomorrow," Bednar said when asked. "He's a top player in the league, so getting him back when we get him back will be helpful."

He followed up the quote by saying his place in the lineup likely won't be confirmed until tomorrow. Updates to come following tomorrow's morning skate prior to a matchup against the New Jersey Devils.

Tomorrow's matchup is their first at home since the break for the Four Nations Faceoff Tournament. It also kicks off a six-game homestand, their longest homestand between now and the end of the regular season.
