Kelly, 26, played in 80 games for the Avalanche in the 2025-26 season. He started off on the fourth line, but stepped in as the third-line center for a portion of the season due to injuries across the roster. In those 80 games, he collected 19 points (8g/11a).
The Camrose, Alberta native dressed in all seven postseason games for Colorado, chipping in a single assist. The seven games played were the first NHL postseason games of his career.
He led all Colorado skaters in hits with 161 and ranked 5th in blocked shots with 72, behind Devon Toews who had 103.
