Colorado is back at Ball Arena on Saturday night after winning in Minnesota on Friday night with a couple of players looking to keep streaks going.

Former Avs forward Nazem Kadri and the Calgary Flames face off against Colorado at Ball Arena in the second game of a back-to-back for both teams.

Kurtis MacDermid scored the game-winning goal in the 3-2 win over the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center on Friday.

Calgary scored five straight goals after being down by two in the 7-4 comeback win against the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center on Friday.

Valeri Nichushkin notched a goal against Minnesota continuing a six-game goal streak, the longest in his career. The 28-year-old Russian native could tie Milan Hejduk for the second-longest game-goal-scoring streak in franchise history with at least one goal in seven consecutive games.

Nathan MacKinnon has scored a point in every home game this season. If the 27-year-old center gets one in the back of the net or a helper for one of his teammates, he would set an Avalanche record for longest season-opening home point streak.

Cale Makar will look to break his own record for the franchise's most points in a month by a defenseman — which he needs two to do so.

    Projected lineup

The Avalanche did not participate in a morning skate and announced the organization sent Riley Tufte back to the Colorado Eagles. If Logan O'Connor is healthy, he'll slot into Kiviranta's spot on the third line and Kiviranta will shift down to the fourth line, which will scratch MacDermid.

Valeri Nichushkin — Nathan MacKinnon — Mikko Rantanen
Jonathan Drouin — Ryan Johansen — Tomas Tatar
Miles Wood — Ross Colton — Joel Kiviranta
Andrew Cogliano — Fredrik Olofsson — Kurtis MacDermid

    Devon Toews — Cale Makar
    Bowen Byram — Josh Manson
    Jack Johnson — Caleb Jones

    Ivan Prosvetov
    Alexandar Georgiev

Saturday night's matchup is the first of three between the clubs with the next one back in Denver on Dec. 11. The puck drops at 8 p.m. MT.
