While all new additions are healthy and cleared to play, some returning players are not. According to head coach Jared Bednar, the following players are injured:

Andrew Cogliano — will participate in training camp, not likely to play in exhibition games, hopeful to start regular season

Josh Manson — will participate in training camp, lower-body issue that is recovering slower than expected, remains day-to-day

Pavel Francouz — will not participate in training camp, lower-body injury, no timeline, remains day-to-day

Cale Makar — will not participate in training camp, expected to skate this weekend, hoping to join team early next week

Other injured players who will not participate in training camp include Jean-Luc Foudy (lower body), Chris Wagner (ruptured Achilles, out at least after new year), Calum Ritchie (recovering from shoulder surgery), Wyatt Aamodt (lower body), Ondrej Pavel (lower body), and Jason Polin (upper body).

According to Bednar, Alex Beaucage is “rehabbing nicely” after shoulder surgery but will only participate in a red non-contact jersey.

Bednar and most players said the longer summer was an advantage to give them more time to heal and rest to get back to their “normal.”
