The Blue Jackets announced today that Boone Jenner will miss at least 6 weeks due to a broken jaw.
The CBJ Captain was in front of the Blues goalie Hofer when Ivan Provorov took a shot that struck Jenner in the face with 7:51 left in the second period.
This is a major blow to the Jackets as Jenner is the leading goal scorer so far. He's also been playing as the #1 center, so changes will need to be made. Might we see Adam Fantilli's line moved up to play the top line?
Jenner leads the team with 13 goals and 18 points.
Next Up: The Blue Jackets will take on the Florida Panthers on Sunday at 1 p.m.
