The Columbus Blue Jackets and Washington Capitals will face each other for the first time this season tonight in D.C.

The Columbus Blue Jackets Outlook and Success

The Jackets are in D.C. to face Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals today.

The Blue Jackets were easily dispatched by the Winnipeg Jets last night by a score of 6-2, and look to bounce back tonight in a Metro Division showdown.

The Caps come into the game winners of their last two games and sit with 14 points. This is a Caps team that can score but in stingy on defense. They're 8th in the league with 37 goals and 7th in goals against with 27.

Washington's PK is running at 81.8%, which is 10th in the league, but their power play is somehow bad. Going into this game, their PP is 30th at 9.4%. The Columbus PK is 12th at 81.5%, so the special teams should be a good matchup to watch.

Washington is currently 3rd in the Metro, 4th in the East, and 7th in the NHL.
