The Columbus Blue Jackets and Winnipeg Jets play for the second and final time of the season today.

Jiricek Trade

The Blue Jackets are in Winnipeg to play one of the best teams in the NHL today. This game features one of the best home teams against one of the worst road teams.

The Jets have won their last two games after dropping the previous four. So if the Jackets thought they were catching the Jets at the right time, they're mistaken. Winnipeg has lost 8 games all season, but four of them have come since November 27th. It looks as though they're picking it back up again, which could be bad news for a struggling road team like Columbus.

Winnipeg downed Columbus 6-2 in their last meeting, so the Jackets will be trying to avenge that loss and get back on the winning side of things. It won't be easy though. The Jets boast the league's 2nd best power play at a staggering 30%, while their PK is 13th in the league. The Blue Jackets have given up power-play goals in 12 straight games and would be wise not to let the Jets have any man advantages, or it will be an easy night for the Jets.

The Jets are currently 2nd in the Central Division, 3rd in the West, and 4th in the NHL.
