The Blue Jackets will play game seven of eight of the preseason tonight at 7 p.m. at the Nationwide Arena in St. Louis.

The Blue Jackets are back on home ice tonight to take on the Pittsburgh. The Jackets played in St. Louis on Tuesday night where they beat the Blues 3-1.

On Tuesday night, Yegor Chinakhov, Gavin Brindley, and Mathieu Olivier scored the goals in the CBJ win. Meanwhile, in net, Jet Greaves stopped 22 of 23 Blues shots to take the victory.

For guys like David Jiříček, Jake Christiansen, and Mikael Pyyhtiä, this could be the last chance they have to impress Dean Evason and Don Waddell. They do play again tomorrow in Pittsburgh, so a few may travel to that game as well. But tonight's game will feature an NHL lineup for Columbus.

For Pittsburgh, it'll be mostly minor leaguers. Former Jacket Emil Bemström will take the ice tonight, as well as new Pen Rutger McGroarty. McGroarty is a player that a lot of fans of Columbus wanted Don Waddell to go out and trade for. Goaltender Tristan Jarry will also suit up for the Pens, but it's unclear whether or not he'll start. Hall of Famers Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin will not play tonight.

There are two games left in the preseason and October 10th will be here before we know it. It's almost time.

How to Watch & Listen: Tonight's game will be streamed on BlueJackets.com and the CBJ App. The game will be on 97.1 The Fan as well.
