The Blue Jackets will play game five of eight of the preseason today at 7 p.m. at Nationwide Arena.

Saturday night, the Blue Jackets beat the Buffalo Sabres 6-3. New Jackets Sean Monahan and James van Riemsdyk scored for Columbus in the win.
The Jackets will be running out nine players who will most likely be leaving for Cleveland after tonight's game. The Cleveland Monsters 2024 training camp starts today in Strongsville, Ohio.
Alex Ovechkin won't be making an appearance for the Capitals tonight, but former Jacket Pierre-Luc Dubois will be making his return to Columbus with his third team since leaving Ohio in 2021. The Blue Jackets will be facing a lineup tonight that is fairly heavy on prospects.
On a lighter note, James van Riemsdyk will be facing off against his brother Trevor tonight. TvR will be wearing #57 for Washington.
