Jackets Activate Defenseman Damon Severson Off Of IR, Nick Blankenburg Has Been Added to IR

The Jackets will activate defenseman Damon Severson off of IR today, a little over four weeks since he suffered an Oblique injury against the Philadelphia Flyers on November 19th. Severson has missed the last 15 games.

Nick Blankenburg was also added to IR today. He missed Thursday's game against the Caps due to an upper-body injury that he suffered, we think, against the Sabres on Tuesday. In six games this season he has zero points. In 18 games for the Cleveland Monsters, he has 3 goals and 11 points. He was added to the Columbus roster on emergency recall on December 6th.
