Jackets Put Laine On IR, Recall Brendan Gaunce from Cleveland

The Jackets announced today that they have put forward Patrik Laine on IR, retroactive to December 14th. He's expected to miss six weeks due to a broken collarbone he suffered against Toronto. He registered 6 goals and 9 points on the season. 

This comes as a blow to Laine, who has now suffered two lengthy injuries due to questionable hits by opponents. 

Brendan Gaunce has been recalled from Cleveland as well. The Monsters Captain has 6 goals and 15 points so far this season with Cleveland. Gaunce has 24 career NHL points in 153 games. 

Next Up: The Jackets travel to Buffalo to take on the Sabres on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
