Today, we talk about 11-year vet Evgenii Dadonov.

Target:  Evgenii Dadonov - RW - Age: 36 - 11 Years Experience

Dadonov was drafted by the Florida Panthers in 2007 and spent the first six years of career in Sunrise. He was traded to Carolina in in 2012, but chose to return to the KHL later that summer. He came back to the U.S. after signing a free agent deal with Florida in 2017, but left Florida again in 2020 when he signed a deal with the Ottawa Senators. In 2022 he was traded to the Vegas Golden Knights, but was traded again, this time to Montreal. In February of 2023, Dadonov was traded yet again. He was sent to the Dallas Stars where he would sign an extension later that summer. 

Stats

Dadonov played 80 games for the Stars this past season, scoring 20 goals and totaling 40 points. He would tack on five power play goals and two game-winning goals. He is averaging 48 points per 82 games played for his career. 

He has 55 games of playoff experience, including this season, where he has 22 career points. 

Previous Salary

He signed a 2 year, $4,500,000 contract with the Dallas Stars in 2023. Contract experts put his next deal at 2 years, with a $3.3 million per season average. 

Realistic Chances Of A Signing: Cold

Evgenii Dadonov had a bit of a career resurgence this past season, but chances are he's not leaving the Stanley Cup heavy weight contending Dallas Stars. There's very little chance that he would think about coming to the CBJ, not would Don Waddell take a run at him. 

Dadonov, at this point in his career, doesn't fit with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
