The Blue Jackets jumped out to an early 3-0 lead that the Calgary Flames couldn't overcome.

CBJ Winning Streak

Adam Fantilli(4,5), Kent Johnson(5), Zach Werenski(8), and Kirill Marchenko(9) provided the goal for the CBJ, and Elvis Merzļikins made 27 saves as the Blue Jackets beat Calgary at home.

The Jackets dominated this game on the scoreboard by scoring early and building a big lead from which the Flames couldn't come back.

This game was really physical. The Flames had 28 hits to the Jackets 24. There were also three fights in this game. Jake Christiansen fought Martin Pospisil, while Mathieu Olivier fought Martin Pospisil and Ryan Lomberg. The second fight of the night for Olivier, against Lomberg, was a fight in which you have to give Lomberg some credit for standing in there and taking what he got from Olivier. Olivier definitely got the best of Lomberg, that's for sure.

Mathieu Olivier on his fight with Lomberg, “I blacked out. Sorry, I don’t have a better answer for you. I heard the Stone Cold music and I blacked out.”

Adam Fantilli on Mathieu Olivier, "He might be the scariest guy on the ice, I'm not gonna lie."

The Jackets are now 8-3-1 at home on the season and went 3-0-1 on the homestand that ended on Friday. They now have the second most home wins of any Metro team, and third most in the Eastern Conference.
