The Jackets have sent goalie Nolan Lalonde to the Erie Otters of the OHL today. The Jackets signed Lalonde to an ELC in October of 2022. The 19-year-old will return to Juniors for another couple of seasons until he’s eligible to play in the AHL.
The Blue Jackets also released defenseman Ben Roger from his tryout contract. Originally drafted by the Ottawa Senators in 2021, #49 overall, he has spent the last five seasons playing in Junior for the Kingston Frontenacs and London Knights. Roger has committed to playing at Saint Mary’s University for the 2023-24 season.
