Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Dante Fabbro is of Italian-Canadian descent and has been chosen to be the Grand Marshal of the 2026 Columbus Italian Festival Parade.
The parade will be on October 11th at 1 PM. The parade begins at Goodale Park in Victorian Village and will end at the festival grounds in Italian Village.
Per a Facebook post from The Columbus Italian Festival page,
"A proud Italian and a tremendous ambassador for the sport of hockey, Dante will lead one of Columbus' favorite traditions on Sunday, October 11, as the parade makes its way through Italian Village before arriving at the Festival.
Join us in welcoming Dante as we celebrate family, heritage, great food, and the community that makes the 46th Annual Columbus Italian Festival so special!
"This October, we're dropping the puck on one of Columbus' favorite traditions—see you at the parade!"
