Players arrived yesterday to undergo medicals and off-ice testing, and today they'll take the ice to show off their talents to the CBJ brass.
The annual development camp put on by Columbus is something that fans look forward to every year. It's their first chance to get a look at new guys like Cayden Lindstrom, Charlie Elick, and Evan Gardner. There will also be some returnees such as Jordan Dumais, Luca Pinelli, and Nolan Lalonde.
2022 pick Denton Mateychuk will not be participating in the camp due to a "long season." Mateychuk played in 82 games this past season which included the WHL season, WHL playoffs, AHL playoffs, and U20 World Juniors.
Per Aaron Portzline of The Athletic, "Jordan Dumais is in Columbus for development camp. Meanwhile, back in Halifax, he has an early afternoon court date regarding his impaired driving charges. Spokeswoman: Dumais' presence in court today is not mandatory and "the Crown expects he won't be present."
Here's the schedule provided by the Blue Jackets. As a reminder, all on-ice practice sessions are free and open to the public.
