Columbus pounced on the Blackhawks early and never looked back as the Blue Jackets beat Chicago 5-2, sending the Blackhawks to their 6th straight loss.
Alex Texier, Boone Jenner, Mathieu Olivier, Cole Sillinger, and Johnny Gaudreau all scored for Columbus in the win. Elvis Merzlikins played well again as well, although after the game he was not too impressed with his play on Saturday night.
The top defensive pairing of Zach Werenski and Adam Boqvist had themselves a night offensively. Between the two of them, they had 3 points, 4 shots, and was a +7.
The line of Texier, Sillinger, and Nylander also continued to play well together. They had 2 goals, 1 assist, were a +3, and had 8 shots.
It was a pretty good game for the young Blue Jackets.
