Luca Pinelli is a prospect who Blue Jackets fans should watch closely next season.

Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Luca Pinelli had a strong season with the Cleveland Monsters. In 68 games with the AHL club during the 2025-26 season, he posted 14 goals, 32 assists, and 46 points. With numbers like these, the 21-year-old forward emerged as a key part of the Monsters' roster last season.

Pinelli was also rewarded for his strong play in the AHL, as he appeared in his first three career NHL games last season with the Blue Jackets. Now, he will be looking for more chances on Columbus' roster next season.

When looking at how well Pinelli played last season, it is hard not to feel optimistic about his future with the Blue Jackets. Because of this, he is undoubtedly a prospect to watch closely next season.

Pinelli will be looking to continue to trend in the right direction with his development next season. If he can hit another level offensively in the AHL with the Monsters, it very well could open the door for him to get more consistent chances on the Blue Jackets' roster in 2026-27.

If Pinelli can hit a new level next season, it would be good news for a Blue Jackets club that is looking to improve. It will be interesting to see what kind of year the 2023 fourth-round pick will have in 2026-27 from here.
