Blue Jackets Prospects William Whitelaw And Andrew Strathmann Chosen For The 2024 World Junior Summer Showcase

USA Hockey announced today that CBJ prospects William Whitelaw and Andrew Strathmann have been chosen for the 2024 World Junior Summer Showcase. The event will be held between July 26-Aug. 3 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.

Whitelaw, the #66 overall pick in 2023 will be attending the University of Michigan this fall after deciding to transfer from the University of Wisconsin. As a freshman, Whitelaw scored 10 goals and had 17 points in 37 games. Some experts claim that Whitelaw wasn't used properly, explaining his low stats and that could've been the reason for his transfer.

Strathmann, who was the #98 pick, played the last two seasons with the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL. He played 104 games with Youngstown, scoring 10 goals and totaling 77 points. Strathmann has chosen the University of North Dakota to play college hockey.
