Looking at the Columbus Blue Jackets' week 7 injury report.

The Columbus Blue Jackets haven't had much change in their injury report since last week.

They did receive some good news: Kent Johnson returned to the lineup on Nov 21. He played against the Tampa Bay Lightning and had a two-assist night in the Blue Jackets' 7-6 win.

The other good news is they haven't had anyone else put with injuries (knock on wood). Which means, as of right now, they are just without two of their most grizzled veterans.

Blue Jackets Injury Report:

  • Boone Jenner – C, Columbus Blue Jackets (Shoulder)
  • Erik Gudbranson – D, Columbus Blue Jackets (Unspecified Shoulder Injury)

TOTAL MAN GAMES LOST: 78

As mentioned last week in the Week 6 injury report, the Blue Jackets could benefit from having both their captain Jenner and their most experienced blue liner Gudbranson back in their lineup. Unfortunately, they will be without them for the bulk of the season.

It is worth noting, though, that the Blue Jackets are 9-9-2 and have 20 points without both Gudbranson and Jenner.

As of right now, they currently sit in sixth in the Metro Division. However, they are only five points behind the New York Rangers for fourth in their division.
