Looking at the Columbus Blue Jackets week 8 injury report.

CBJ Winning Streak

The new injury report sees young Yegor Chinakhov added to the list with an unspecified upper-body injury. He's missed two games so far and didn't travel on the road trip to Western Canada. He looks to miss the remainder of the trip unless he's cleared and flies out to meet the rest of his team.

This is one subject that fans who follow the CBJ hate to talk about, so we won't say anything that may jinx the team.

Blue Jackets Injury Report:

  • Boone Jenner – C, Shoulder Surgery - 22 Games Missed
  • Erik Gudbranson – D, Unspecified Shoulder Injury - 19 Games Missed
  • Yegor Chinakhov - F, Unspecified Upper-Body Injury - 2 Games Missed

TOTAL MAN GAMES LOST: 87

Captain Boone Jenner and Erik Gudbranson aren't coming back anytime soon, so if the Jackets want to play at the level they have been, they need to hope that the Yegor Chinakhov injury isn't serious.

Columbus currently sits 6th in the Metro with 25 points, but only two points back of fourth place and a wildcard spot.

What's Next - The Blue Jackets continue their five-game road trip as they visit the Calgary Flames on Tuesday.
