Boone Jenner Selected To Represent The CBJ At The All-Star Game In Toronto
Boone Jenner was announced as an NHL All-Star on Thursday night. This will be the first time Jenner has been honored with a selection.
Despite missing the last four weeks, Jenner still leads the team in goals with 13. He also has 5 assists for 18 total points. He has won 55.9% of his faceoffs as well.
The Jackets haven't had much success this season, but you can't help but feel happy for the Captain. Many fans thought it would be Gaudreau or Werenski, but with Johnny's slow start, and Zach being on the shelf for another 5 or 6 weeks, many people even leaned towards Kirill Marchenko. Marchenko is currently tied with Jenner in goals but didn't get his first goal until November. Some even thought it would be rookie Adam Fantilli, but Connor Bedard was the obvious rookie choice.
Jenner should be back from his injury by then, but as you can tell from the video above, his jaw is still wired shut.
Congrats to Captain Boone Jenner.
